Scott Gervais, owner of Emergency Power Solutions, Inc. originally worked with his father as an outdoor power equipment manager (Including Generator Sales and repair) while at the same time attending electrical training at a local college. After extensive training he successfully passed an Illinois required test to become a licensed Electrician.
As the standby generator business grew in demand, the decision was made to devote resources separate from those of the outdoor power equipment company to the power generator industry. Scott brought in a crew of certified electricians as well as Master Certified engine technicians.
Emergency Power Solutions became one of the first dealerships nationally certified by the Outdoor Power Equipment Institute for power generator repair in Chicagoland. One of the key company employee’s actually taught small engine and generator repair for Prairie State College and Illinois branches of the Ford Motor Company.
Emergency Power Solutions has grown to include an in-house team of licensed electricians for all installations, big or small. Our generator-specific technicians are factory trained by the biggest names in the industry. Some, as a bonus, brought electrical or electronic degrees to better service your equipment. All technicians are required to complete extensive training before they are allowed in the field to recommend or perform repairs or generator installations.
